So with a very long break from posting, here goes.

This is the set of flash I made with Josh McNair from

Handsome & Smart down in Roseburg. There's so cool

shit in there so pop into the shop and get one tattooed!

I give hook ups with flash i've drawn.

I started this Braid tattoo. Cannot wait to finish it.

I went down to Jeld Wen last week and got this photo taken

with Timb's new defender Andrew Jean-Babtiste .

This is just a small bit of what I have. I have new paintings

going up at the Cup and Saucer on Killingsworth St. in a

few days for February. Most of them are for sale, and i'll

post them here shortly.

Also I have a painting hanging in Wieden + Kennedy's 100 show

this Thurs, the 2nd. All paintings are 100 bucks and half goes

to the mercy core.

Happy new yeas people! I know it's like the

Hello there. This is a some lettering on a did on a bull rider

a few weeks back. I really had fun with it.

It was also the kid's first tattoo. Kids these days are just

going for the gold.

I'll be showing some work at the Cup and Saucer in Feb.

2012. So i'll be working towards that for a bit. I just

finished up a 5 page split flash sheet w. tattooer Josh

McNair and it'll be available soon. I got a bunch of

Another lapse in time since my last post. My hard drive

fried so I was left w. no computer for a while. Luckily

I was able to save my photo library. The music not so lucky.

Watched my friends run the Portland Marathon. These are tough folks.
They looked fresh at 3 miles - but come double digits you could see pain
in a lot of the runners faces. Kudos to all the runners. You guys are amazing.

Lately I've been leaving my losing track of my camera

and I dont have a smart phone - so here are 2 photos taken

with the Corey cousin's smart phones and sent to me.

I do love those script jammers!

Reworked a wolf drawing that was brought into me by my
friend Kelsey. Love the subject matter she brings into me.

Brandon got a new machine and I was dying to try it. So we
picked out some Sailor Jerry flash and did this little jammer on
ankle. Super fun. And the machine ran like a champ by the way.

In other news - things taking up my time:
Working on a split flash sheet with a really dope artist,
Timbers are fighting for the 10th place wild card spot, and working
on my combos in MvC3 and SSF4 with my Madcatz TE
fight stick. Jeah!!!

When I was back east I got a chance to tattoo my homie

Dan. He's a amazing artist, tattooer, wood worker, fisherman

.......you name it and there's a good chance he's its best kept

secret. His talent and humbleness have been a huge inspiration

to me. My Pops a few years back wrote out "white person" in

Cantonese. Dan now rocks it to its fullest on his foot.

This is Bob. A man of many titles: mentor, boss, homie.

I feel fortunate that we still maintain a unspoken friendship

after all these years. Every time I go back and do a few

tattoos at his shop, Creepy Creations, it still feels like home.

Two of the most genuine and legit dudes I know.

My brothers girlfriend's car radio looks like the self-

destruct from Predator.

I also got to go to a Revs game @ Gillette stadium.

The small section with the 1 or 2 flags is the "Midnight

Riders". I think it's supposed to be equivalent to the

Timbers Army.

After a horrible and extremely difficult time getting back to PDX,

I got to do this dream catcher on a super cool customer.

I'm finally back in Portland and getting back into the

swing of things. I have a lot of pictures from the trip

back east that i have to unload off my camera. Been doing

some painting, riding, footballin', etc since i've gotten back

and happy to be doing so.

Happy 14th birthday Momo!!! You’re a loyal homie and I love you.

I bought Momo 14 years ago with my 1st paycheck from my first job. Since then hes traveled back and forth the U.S. with me, seen friends come and go, moved into some shitty apartments w. me, kept me warm when we couldnt afford heat, and way more. Every night he still wakes me up by laying on my chest and giving me headbutts and licks. He’s the most consistent thing for almost half my life. Today was a game day for sure. Unfortunately for the

Timbers they fell to our great rivalry the Sounders.

However the U.S. woman's national team represented

the U.S. to the fullest beating tying Brazil @122 of injury

time and the finishing them off 5-3 in OT PKs. Congrats

on a epic win ladies.

My robot painting that I did back in '07 made it into

the SEPT '11 issue of Tattoo Savage magazine. 1st time

in a magazine.

This is a painting I did as a gift for a friends grand

opening of his new shop. Still in progress, but only

a few small details to add and to find a frame. I'll

Dan from Portland Design Works asked me to

decorate the office a few months back and I finally

got around to it earlier this week. Had a good time

painting it up.

PDW makes awesome bike accessories right her in

good ol' Pdx. They also are the home of the famous

Circulus! Pic below is me on the circulus on some

child's bike during the PDW Party.

I also had the pleasure of course marshaling Monday

night short-track at PIR.

It saddens me to say that we have lost a dear

member of the Portland fixed gear community

yesterday. Stacy was one of those people that

everyone has a story about him. Everyone rode

with him at one time. He probably snapped

your picture at a bike event and you didn't even

know it. You probably drank one of his beers.

He spent hours in the shop but never got tattooed.

He'd always be chilling out in one of the red chairs

playing angry birds looking on as one of our friends

was getting work done. I was lucky enough to go on

more than a few rides with him and see him at many

events. But my fondest memory of him was when

Converge played at the Satyricon. When the bridge

broke on the song "Lonewolves" I ran across the pit

and jumped on his back as we yelled out the lyrics

pressed against the stage.

You will be missed Stacy. We will ride with heavy hearts.

So say we all.

Started outlining this Garuda. Still have to

the armor and plating detail. Drawing this felt

like I was designing a summons from Final

fantasy.

Did some lettering on this forearm. It was sort

of a lot to fit in because she had small arms. Fun

Currently hanging out in New England. It's been a

bit since i've been back, but I gotta say that being

in the snow aint all that bad. I can say that now

since I am surrounded by grey skies & rain clouds

Outlined this Day of the dead girl the other day.

It was super fun and cant wait to work on it again

the next sesh. It take up the entire top of her thigh.

She held in there, especially towards her fefe, and

took it like a champ.

Well Happy New Year everyone!!! I'm a little late, but only

by 2 days. My Faves of 2010 you ask?

I constantly listened to:

2010 had some sloppy parts to it, but I rode bikes a bunch,

made more paintings then I have in a while, and had some

great adventures. I also felt like I kind of rounded out a

distinctive tattooing style which whether in tattooing, painting,

blading, etc. , has been a battle for me cause im never happy with

it. Im pretty proud of the progress I made in 2010 for how rough

it started. From my first solo art show to my cyclocross season.

I can say that 2011 will include more creativity, fabrication,

miles ridden, and more stories. It's only been 2 days, but this year

is already looking very, very bright.

Thank you to my family, friends, clients, teammates, and to the

people that actually read this blog. I don't know how accurate

the stats are, but thank you, thank you, thank you.

OK. Im back. Thanks to everyone that came out to my

solo show @ Skeleton Key. It was a great turnout and

I am beyond stoked. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Recently my phone just died, and I am left w. this

flip phone. So I was stoked when my homeboy

Danny pulled out one too. Now I don't feel way

behind on the times.

I love doing bike-related tattoos. This was on one of my

teammates. It reads "Hold your line" right above his tan

line from his bibs.

And heres a photo of meeting bailing on a corner from

last weeks first Cross Crusade race.

Krugers Kermesse and placed 22 out of 56 in the Beginners

cat. I was happy with my finish. It was so dusty that once the

riders hit the dirt, a cloud blinded us all.

So much going on!!! Where to start? Moment of Truth will be having
it's 1 year anniversary party on 8/26 from 8-11 pm. New art by 4
amazing artist and Amanda Sundvor of BYB will be djing! It's going
to be fun so don't sleep.

Shark week went down this weekend and people got sharkdified.

This is probably one the simplest tattoos ive done, yet it was super
fun and satisfying. He pointed at flash and said, "I want skulls
like that." So i complied.

Also i'll be starting posting pics of my clients and their bikes. Some-
ones bike can say so much about the person. Being so customizable
these days when I meet someone I always think about what their rides
look like. And it's not always the most expensive bikes that necessarily

2 more. First is my homeboy Max's blogs about bikes, called
bikeyourself.com The second is David, a friend in NH, and his
blog about his beloved Boston Bruins. Check them out, you won't

This tattoo belongs to a girl in Korea. She was here on a vaca.
She showed me a pic on her korean phone and said she wanted
the exact thing but in purple. She sat like a rock and the next
day hopped back onto a plane for Korea.

I also got this wrapped up for now. I think were gonna fill in some
more, but not sure for now.

I went and raced some street sprints the other day

My friends came out and to check it.
Meet Sean Bobby and Amanda of Backyard Blam fame.
Like the rest of my friends, they will eff your day up.

I tattooed this straight razor on a finger so she can
cross her throat, get it?

Finger tattoos tend to fade cause of the area, hopefully it
stays so she can be a throat sitting bad-ass.

Hello folks! I'm pretty much fully healed up from my bike crash
and have gotten back to making tattoos. It's been a little bit, but
Im amped and ready to get back into motion.

A fun in progress shark eating a bird I started.

I saw a dude wearing this shirt. It's from the Le Tour De Franks
alley cat from last year.

I was eating on a bench in N. Portland and saw this. I thought
it was pretty funny.

You'll find ring's like this in the sidewalks all over Portland. It's so
back in the day people could tie up their horses, the original
hipster transportation of Portlanders. Yeah, the streets in this city are
pretty old.

It may not look like a whole lot of damage, but if you had any idea
of how bad my neck hurts or how hard it is to hold it up, then you
would have an idea of how hard I came down on my head. Which
was also the first part of my body to hit and took most of the impact.
If I wasn't wearing my helmet i'm pretty sure death definitely
would have been possible. Im lucky to walk away with a pretty
badly bruised hand, broken ribs, and various cuts, rash, bruises and
swelling on my right arm and legs.

I wasn't even "mashing" or riding like a dick through traffic. I was on
a team ride and we were descending going pretty fast. I took a turn
wide and hit loose gravel. My friends dad who was riding behind me
said I hit the ground, bounced and then slid for a while on the
pavement.

Obviously the moral of this story is ALWAYS WEAR A FUCKING
HELMET WHEN YOU ARE RIDING YOUR BIKE. Just wear it, who the fuck cares
if it's not cool or whatever. Function and safety over fashion. You
can get them relatively cheap. The skate style helmets work too and
are inexpensive. You may even be able to find a organization that will
give you one for FREE or low-cost. (check out H.E.L.L.:

So onto other news I won't be tattooing for a week or two as you can guess,

Once again, a super update 'cause i've been super slacking
on the posting. Last weekend was the Oregon Ink convention
in Eugene, OR. I don't really enjoy conventions all that much
because there always so much to do before and after and it's
sort of a hassle. But as always I met some really cool folks,
bought a bunch of stuff I didn't need, and had a pretty OK time.

While in Eugene my homie Seth got the best vegan pizza i've
ever had to date. Mushroom pesto. I think the joint was call
Pizza Research Institute or something. Def check it out if you
the chance.

Speaking of food - intrigued by KFC double down I went and
made a vegan version of it:

I obviously can't compare it to a meat one, but this wasn't all to
bad. A little bit dry.

Finally finished this eagle:

The other day my friend Max Malinow asked to come shoot my
hands for a project he was doing involving trade skills. You may
remember that name. When I first moved to Portland he shot
me doing track stands while sleeping my yo-yo.

This is my friends Ben's foot. You know what they say about dudes
w. big feet........... they are super fast on their bikes. Check out Ben's

The Bridgetown Hustle went off so well. This was the wall and

I'M SO SORRY for the lack of updates lately! it's been almost a month leaving you guys clueless about the most intriguing doings of myself. Unfortunately my personal life has collided with my work life, but i'll be getting back to business soon. Promise.

I usually paint in acrylics, but for a current series i'm doing i've
been using watercolor, Dr. PH Martin's synchromatic & radiant
concentrated. Then I found Dr. PH Martin's Hydrus which calims
to be very lightfast. AND THEN I came across Daler Rowney
acrylic ink, which works in the same fashion as watercolor &
from what i've read is super bright and lightfast. Most
importantly I was stoked to find something lightfast even,
though I spray a UV coating multiple times over a watercolor
painting. So I decided to do a little review of the three and some
in progress pictures. Also a little sneak peak of some traditional
style series i'm currently doing.

The one thing I noticed about the acrylic ink was you could lay
down bases with out overlap lines. (Lower skull)

The color I used on the skull was emerald green, which even
as straight concentrate wasn't very bright. I had to mix the
acrylic ink thoroughly to get it to disperse. It almost looked like
when you try to mix water w. oil. I also couldn't get it to
blend like watercolor. But even though, it still had some very
nice achievable effects.

The Green I used on the leaves of the rose was PH Martin's
radiant grass green. Real bright and tolerable transitions.

The black and grey tones were done with PH Martin's hydrus
black. Out of the bottle, like the acrylic ink, its a little bit more
body, and has a plastic like sheen to it. It was a little harder
to move around than normal watercolor, but still maintained a
strong color concentrated, and diluted.

I'll continue to use all three, mainly the hydrus due to how it
acts and the lightfast factor. I feel that the acrylic ink would
work great for boldness. But my heart goes to good old watercolor.

And there you have it, my first review.

I'm selling one of my tattoo machines. Write up I have on EBAY:
Lightly used PULSE SEPTA shader TATTOO MACHINE. EXCELLENT condition. I've literally used this machine 5 times. Been sitting in the back of my drawer, so may as well find it a home were it'll get used. I did replace the springs with some thinner Eikon springs (17M 16T), due to pulse setting it up with thick tight springs, and a standard a-bar. I will include the original springs & 8 bar if you want them. Has a good nickel size air gap, but like always though some fine tuning may be needed to suit each artist.This is an exceptional price for the minimal use of the machine compared to the NEW price.

Hello everyone, once again it's been a while since my last post.
The MUNNY GRUBBERS SHOW in Phoenix went pretty damn well
& congrats to my homie Josh F+ for taking first place in the contest.

alley cat, only to go out to their van during the after party and

My homeboy Aaron and I took a train from Portland to Seattle and rode our bikes back.
When we got to Seattle we realized we didn't have directions back, so we made our
own and got lost / way side tracked. We were rode 240 ish miles in 13 hours. We had
only 4 hours the night before and were nowhere prepared / conditioned to make this
sort of ride. Needless to say it was a bike ride i'll never forget.

The week after was the Oregon ink tattoo convention. Did a bunch of tattoos and met some cool people. a good, tiring weekend.
